QUESTIONS REGARDING ENTRY INTO UKRAINE

During martial law, foreigners may enter Ukraine provided they possess the necessary entry documents and—for citizens of countries subject to visa requirements—the appropriate type of visa.

To enter Ukraine, foreigners require medical insurance with coverage of €30,000; if entering by private vehicle, an international "Green Card" insurance policy is also required.

Documentary proof of the purpose of the visit depends on the Ukrainian inviting party (private, business, tourist, or medical invitation).

Key factors include possessing the appropriate type of Ukrainian visa, as well as a transit visa for Moldova, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, or Poland—for citizens whose nationality requires a visa for those countries.

A foreign national applies for a transit visa for Moldova, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, or Poland after obtaining a Ukrainian visa, which serves as the basis for the transit.
